about

Hi, my name is Daniel DeWitt. You may remember me from my days of playing bass and singing for Winston Audio. We released an album called The Red Rhythm back in 2009 and dozens of humans purchased it.

Dozens.

Or maybe you know me because you helped fund my first solo album, Phantom Memory: The Musical. A humble little record with an incredibly pretentious name. Seriously. What was I thinking?

OR perhaps you downloaded my most recent album, Companion, last year when I gave it away for free. Quite a few of you did that. It was pretty cool. I like that record a whole lot and I hope you’re still spinning it.

Or streaming it. Or playing it. You don’t spin downloads. I don’t know what you would be spinning unless it was your computer (spins laptop. Drops laptop. Cries).

I wouldn't advise that.

At any rate, however you know me, I’m excited to share my next project with you. This one doesn’t have a pretentious title, but it DOES involve time travel. And the Bible. And public transportation.

Okay, maybe it’s a little pretentious. But it’ll make you want to dance. That’s good, right?

It’s called Gold Lines. It’s sort of like if the theatricality and expanse of Pink Floyd met up with the grit and groove of Funkadelic at a party DJ’d by Caribou.

The guy, not the animal. Although I would go to that party too, come to think of it.
